A Note from the Founder
Have you ever tried to tell your friend or spouse about that nasty toe drag you pulled off right before your top corner snipe, and you could just feel their boredom? We all know you made half that story up. And I started Clapper Club for just that reason — so you can embellish your stories without getting two minutes in the box for it, and be accepted by a community of people who still want to hear them.
I'm kidding. Kind of. I discovered hockey in my late twenties and quickly fell in love with the sport. Clapper Club was inspired out of the realization that I love the hockey community just as much as I love the sport itself. Aside from that one guy, Kevin, everyone has been great.
But we're living through an odd time. The more connected we all are, the more it feels like we're worlds apart. I wanted to build a community of people working towards a common goal, but I wanted it to be more than just another TikTok page. Something you can sit down and share with your friends, parents, kids...or maybe it gives you a reason to call your grandma, who knows?
In any case, I'm excited about it and I can't wait to see you open your first Clapper Club issue!
